Reaching The Top

Many of you have probably heard of people inching their way slowly to the top, gradually overcoming obstacles on their way and struggling with as much effort as they can to reach one of the highest peaks in the world, Mount Everest. Or maybe you have heard of people who overcame all hardships and adversities in their lives who made a difference in the world. People such as Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Walt Disney, Neil Armstrong and Amelia Earhart have all contributed to the idea of success we all possess and aim for today.

But what is their secret to their success? What made them different from the rest of us?

In a nutshell, it’s really hard to say what makes them tick. As far as we all know, they were all hardworking, dedicated and industrious individuals who came up with extraordinary visions and fulfilled their missions in life.

So here are a few pointers that could help you do what these people did. You may not be the next Neil Armstrong or Thomas Edison, but this could be the start of something big for you.

Dream big, and always have a vision in life. When you dream big, you think of the biggest thing that you can ever accomplish in your life. Think of climbing Mount Everest. Think of inventing the first car which runs on water. You can even think of formulating a medicine which will give people their memories from the day they were born. But of course, remember to be realistic. Don’t think of something that is impossible to happen.

Make that vision come true. Start working now! Gather your materials, develop your skills, and do some research. Find friends who can help you with your project. Give some ample time in a day to really map out your vision and make your dream come true. If you want to climb a mountain, get some training, get the right equipment, and join a mountaineering group. If you want to fly an aircraft, go to your nearest aviation school and sign up for classes.

Above all, stay positive! If your efforts fail, what do you need to do? Start over! That’s what Edison did. He made more than a hundred light bulbs before he created one that really worked. So never give up. And try and try again!
