Organizing Stuff

One of the problems nowadays that people sometimes tend to overlook is organizing things and stuff. Your room is already stuffy with dust and paper, pieces of cardboard boxes and placed precariously on a ledge, pens, pencils and notebooks are strewn away on a corner.

This is no problem right? So what?

Actually, the problem lies not on how to organize your stuff – but the problem lies with how you find your stuff, especially when documents and important papers are left angling in your room.

So what to do? How do we organize our stuff?

There are different ways to organize your stuff. First is that you try to sort out all your stuff accordingly. Put pens together, pieces of paper together, boxes, magazines and other stuff that is found in your room, or in your closet.

After sorting out through all your stuff, find the ones that are important to you at the present time. This is the imperative word – at the present time. There may be documents that you used to need, but is useless right now, so better get rid of them.

When done with distinguishing the files that you need at the present time, it is best to get rid of the things that you don’t need. How? There are lots of different ways. For documents that are really of no use anymore, you can throw them away. For documents that you think are still valuable, you can recycle them. Turn them into a notebook or a scratch paper. For other things that may seem to be valuable but you have no need for them, you can sell it via a garage sale. That way, you not only get rid of the things that you don’t need, you can still turn in some profit in the process.

Once you are done with getting rid of the things that you don’t need anymore, sort out the things that you need by putting them in boxes according if they are paper, plastics, magazines or other stuff. Label the boxes so that you won’t get confused as to which box the documents you are looking for are placed. Then store them in a safe and comfortable place.

Of course, after going through all of these things, don’t forget to clean your room. That way, you not only are able to organize your things, you are also able to make your room comfortable to sleep in.
