Seeing The Obvious: Tips For Effective Visualization

Can the words quantum physics and visualization be packed in the same sentence? Apparently, the answer is yes among modern scientists. It seems that they are starting to believe that thoughts or imaginations are things which have energy. The said energy released from the mind may then affect a concrete object. It is even claimed that by just by gawking at an object, you are already modifying it somehow.

So if these statements, which eminent physicists are parading to the public, are accepted to be true, that means you can materialize whatever you wish.

But you may ask, what is visualization? Is it something that only a few people can perform? How exactly do you do it?

Well, visualization is a process where a person forms clear and distinct images in his mind of whatever he wants. It can be done by anyone who can invoke mental images with clarity. It is a straightforward process but it takes commitment and practice to be able to do it with ease. Here are specific tips for effective visualization:

1. Relax. Whether you opt to lie down in a bed or lounge in the couch, the most important thing to do is to be in a receptive mental state or an altered state of consciousness. You can concentrate on your breathing pattern, focusing on the manner by which you rhythmically inhale and exhale. It should be deep and slow. Or you can intone a word over and over again. You can chant love, peace or freedom. You will then release the tension from your body.

2. Set a goal. What it is that you predominantly want? Is it a new car, a house, a pet or the emotional healing of a close friend? It is imperative that you imagine your goal in the present tense. Include yourself in that scene and make it as colorful as possible. Feel the experience using your inner senses.

A word of warning though. Do not visualize for something that may harm another person or it might boomerang on you. Even if you might say it’s a prank, you’ll never know what fate has in store for mischief-makers.

3. Be positive. Imbue your visualization with positive feelings. You should convince yourself that you deserve the best in life. Let this be your final vision for the day and it will come sooner than expected.

4. Believe that you will have what you wish for. It may be a challenge to drum up your expectancy but it will serve to spur the visualization. Envision the exhilaration you would feel upon reaching your goal.

Practice these techniques and do them regularly. Your wish will become a reality faster than you can say Abracadabra.
