The Pursuit Of Happiness Almost everyone has heard the hit single “Don't Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its simple message. Being happy, resilient, and optimistic is good for your health. Being happy actually insulates your body from the stress of life. Doctors link stress to heart disease, cancer, and stroke. The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change. In life, you have the power to make the necessary changes if you want to. Even in an unbearable situation, you can always find solace in the knowledge that it will pass. Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. Happy people are tolerant and respectful of others. They avoid clashes, arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. To be happy is relatively easy. You just have to decide to become a
happy person. You can do this by several ways: News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just cannot start their day without their daily dose of news. Try to think about it, 99% of the news you hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news is not a sensible thing to do. 2) Manage your time Understand these basic concepts of time management to become more efficient in personal time management. Fine tune your skills to be able to go for the results you desire. 3) Laugh everyday These are just some of the simple things you can do everyday to be happy. Always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, "Most people are
about as happy as they make up their minds to be." |
