We have all seen it happen on the magic specials on TV.... entire planes, trains and automobiles disappear into thin air right before our eyes...and there is a collective “AHHHH!” when it happens. Pure magic! WE SAW it...we don’t actually believe it happened but we certainly cant explain why we SAW it happen.

There really aren’t very many people in the world that know how a magic trick on that scale can be done. One of the few living today is David Blaine. If you are truly passionate about leaning magic tricks, David is your man. He can teach you how to do amazing magic tricks but, more importantly, he can teach you how to perform...and that is, in reality, the essence of magic.

On David’s web site, Ellusionist, you will find many videos that show you how to perform large scale magic tricks and a book or two, as well. Its a good place to start. Dont forget, though, that achieving greatness in magic, like everything else, required dedication and a lot of practice.

Like all great artists, David Blaine has his critics. They call him a “publicity hound” and worse... but that doesn’t seem to even slow down the pure awe that he generates in the spectators at his performances.

He has, in his repertoire, a list of stunts that includes jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge (if he can ever get the city of New York to let him do it).

When David was asked, “What advice do you have for aspiring magicians?” He replied, “Don’t let anybody tell you what to do. Just do whatever you feel, from your own instincts, and you’ll be happy. When you’re doing something you love, it’s easier to succeed at it than doing something you don’t”. Good advice!
